This class combines reading practice with daily living skills by using books, visual supports, and real-life materials to improve independence and understanding. Class activities include guided reading, understanding daily-life materials (schedules, signs, menus, forms, and instructions), social interaction, focus and attention and comprehension exercises. The class is designed to increase community participation and daily living skills through structured literacy activities.
Teacher Amanda is an experienced licensed middle school teacher in NY. Highly recommend her program to students age 12 and up.
